Something nice that happened to me today...
For a change I'm not moaning about my lot, something nice happened to me today.
I'd been having an email conversation with one of my colleagues/friends, just about figure skating and the vagaries of the scoring, and I put at the end of my email that everything would be much better if I ruled the world. It's something I say every now and then to indicate that I can talk a good game but realise that I'm likely to be oversimplifying things. And then A replied and at the end of her email wrote
"And I would like the world you ruled"
which really touched me. I know it was a throw away reply to my nonsense, but I think it's one of the nicest things anyone's ever said to me.
