I saw DHII for the second time last night...

Both times have been in 3D even though it's a pain having to wear the glasses over my own glasses! I tried to see it in 2D both times, but last week it was only on in 3D in Brid and last night the 2D was sold out! So I don't know if it was some trick of the 3D but in several places I couldn't help feeling that Alan Rickman looked a lot like the Face of Boe! He was excellent though, and I shall be trying to say eq......ually whenever possible. I cried a little bit, from where Fred is dead to the end of the pensieve bit. "Still, Severus, after all this time?" "Always" (probably misquoting there, but it broke my heart anyway).

I loved Harry rescuing Draco, and I thought Tom Felton made the most of the little screen time he was given. One of the trailers was for that Planet of the Apes film he's in and although the film looks pants, I'm intrigued to see him in something different.

Loathed Ginny as usual. When she burst into the room of requirement and Neville says "What is it Ginny?" I was strongly put in mind of Lassie - "What is it girl, what are you trying to tell us?"

And the epilogue - well, I thought the aging was reasonably done but it's only purpose seemed to be to underline that Harry understood that Snape was a good guy.

Still haven't seen it yet but have a couple of days off soon so might take the plunge

If there's an earlyish showing you'll probably get the place to yourself. I remember seeing OoTP at 10am on a Monday morning about a week after it was released and there were only three of us there, even though that was in the summer holidays too. I'd recommend seeing it on the big screen if you can.

I have to admit that now I really regret not having seen DH1 on the big screen.
