Sky very kindly emailed me to tell me that I've exceeded my download limit this month, but they won't take any action against me as long as I don't do it again. Together with time constraints this means that I have, for the time being, abandoned trying to read everyone's gorgeous Christmas fics and will catch up in the New Year. I'm sure you're all weeping into your breakfast about that, not! But I'm a bit fed up about it. I'm going to try and keep up with other posts though. In theory, I suppose I could just use as much internet as possible, now that I'm already over the threshold, but somehow I don't feel I should.

That's it I think.

That is the pits. Your limit must be really low if just reading fics has done this. You might want to contact Sky and ask WTF they are playing at and check what your limit is.

If you want I would download fics and email it to you.

I've done quite a lot of searching for lego sets and other internet shopping, as well as reading fics etc so I think that's probably where it's all gone. It is a very low limit, 2GB I think, because up until very recently it was free in with the Sky+ telly package I have. From Jan they're charging £5 a month. The next level up, 10GB is an extra £5 a month but I'm loathe to go up to that unless I really have to, because as far as I know, until now, the 2Gb has been fine and, because I live so far from a telephone exchange, I can only get 0.5MB speed (I may have my gigs and megas mixed up there) and it seems such a waste to pay for extra speed (that goes up with each package as well as the download limit) which I can't possibly use.

It's very kind of you to offer to email me the fics, but in truth I probably wouldn't have had time to read all of them until later anyway, and it won't kill me to wait. Thank you anyway.

Sorry about the essay, as usual. That's probably were the problem lies - me rambling on.
