The arguing began on the way home from their first visit to the Healer. Once it had been definitely established that Draco really was pregnant, he and Harry found it easier to shout at each other, than to admit how utterly terrified they were by the prospect of parenthood. As Draco grew ever larger, they continued to fight, any time, any place, any subject. Most of all, they disagreed about the baby's name.

"James," Harry would yell.

"Lucius," Draco would sneer back, having no desire to name his child after his father, but knowing that the suggestion would irritate Harry.

The one thing they were in accord over, was the absolute conviction that the baby was a boy. They had never really discussed it, but from the much debated nursery decor to the name they eventually compromised on, the possibility of a girl never crossed either of their minds. So when the baby was finally delivered and the Healer handed Harry the tiny, wailing infant with the words, "Congratulations, you have a beautiful daughter," they were both stunned.

Draco, stroked his daughter's cheek. "We'll call her Grace," he said. Harry, too overcome with love and happiness to speak, nodded.
