Whining - again!
Mar. 18th, 2009 06:09 amI'm feeling very blue at the moment, for no discernible reason. Work is being a pain but that's nothing new. We're having our equivalent of an Ofsted inspection in a few weeks and everyone is going round the twist trying to be ready. Which just shows what a joke it all is - we obviously don't comply with all the regs for 20 months out of each 24, or there wouldn't be this mad scramble every time the inspection is due. And for some reason the powers that be have decided to introduce a new computer system now, as well. But none of that explains this horrible lethargic moroseness. Actually grey is a better colour for it than blue. I think it all dates back to my birthday, but I'm not sure why, really.
Looking at my journal, all my posts are either crappy ficlets or me feeling sorry for myself. Perhaps I should just try to look on the bright side a bit more, and be grateful for what I've got.
The light in the gloom (it's not darkness, really) is that I have been reading, and absolutely loving, the Twilight series. I'm part way through the fourth one, now and will doubtless post a gushing post when I'm done.
