There's no two ways about it - Christmas is a very stressful time! I had an absolute nightmare day at work. So much for finishing early; in fact I had to stay two hours extra to tie up loose ends because I'm now off for a fortnight nearly. This is a cause for celebration but there were several times today when I wondered if it was worth it. And now there's the whole being with family and hoping hoping hoping that my son has a great time and worrying that he won't like his presents or something else will go horribly wrong. That's the stress really - this whole feeling that it all has to be perfect and everyone, but particularly children has to have the most marvelous time.

Enough whining!

Wherever you are, whoever you're with or if you're on your own, whatever you are doing tomorrow then I hope you have a very pleasant time and a very Happy Christmas.

p.s. thank you very much for the card, Fran. It was kind of you to say I'd been a help this year.

Actually the day was fine really. When we finally got to bed my husband said to me "Well it can't have been too bad, you didn't go out in the garden once!" And he was right. They didn't all seem so overwhelming somehow and my little boy had a lovely time which was the important thing. Mostly the stress that night was work related and because I seemed to have spent every waking moment for the previous month thinking of things to buy, or shopping for them. I was ready to weep though, at the time, but it's passed now.

Your Xmas day post sounds as though you had a good day, hope you did.
