Home at last!
Aug. 14th, 2010 10:21 amIt is so very, very nice to be home! To sleep in my own bed and slob around as I see fit. I think perhaps I'm not cut out for holidays. It's hideously ungrateful of me, I know, and I did have some lovely times. There is a gorgeous beach at Pentewan and I love to swim in the sea, so that was great.
And P, D and I had a really fun evening at the Flambards theme park. D is now big enough to go on all the rides and turns out to be as much of a thrill seeker as I am! I don't know what it is about roller coasters and such that I love so much - I think it's the controlled terror. I'm a terribly nervous passenger in cars, so I think it's the speed rush and wind in your face feeling, but knowing you're safe really that I love. On Wednesdays in August they stay open late and finish with a firework display. I also love fireworks, so this was a top evening for me, and P and D loved it too, so we were all happy.
There were a couple of times which weren't so great, when we all got on each other's nerves. There was one morning when I was so miserable that even Lady Gaga on loud didn't cheer me up - unprecedented.
( Johnny Weir stuff under the cut for the benefit of those not interested in such things... )
Anyway, I have day or so to regroup and then my M-i-L is coming to stay for the week. I forsee a lot of mashed potato in my future.
