I think Denis Penis says it best...
Aug. 17th, 2008 08:58 pmI see that Annie Liebowitz (?sp) has taken a photo of Dan Radcliffe naked on a horse. With Richard Griffiths just sort of lurking to one side. I have to say DR looks very uncomfortable. I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise, especially seeing as the nude photos to promote Equus last year won an award as media event of the year or some such thing. And probably did sell a shed load of tickets. It's just that with this and the completely gratuitous medical scene in 'My boy Jack' and quite possibly a nude scene in DH part 2 I can't help but be reminded of when Denis Penis approached Demi Moore on a red carpet somewhere and asked her (as best I can remember)"if it were absolutely essential and tastefully done and integral to the script would you ever consider a role where you had to keep your clothes on?".
To be honest I'm not convinced that there really will be a nude scene in DH but DR remarks in the vogue article which accompanies the photo that in the scene with Dumbledore at Kings Cross Harry is naked. I hadn't realised this, I think I must have been too overcome with "Oh my God he can't be dead!" to have noticed especially but I checked and he's right. I can't help imagining JKR rushing back from seeing Equus and either writing or rewriting that scene to have Harry be naked. Though of course I think DH was already at the publishers by the time Equus opened so it can't have really happened like that (so don't sue me for libel please).
