The second thing it made me think of is those wonderful early summer mornings. When it's not hot yet because although the sun has been up for a couple of hours the sky was really clear overnight so the temperature dropped right down; but there's something about the quality of the light and the colour of the sky and the feel of the air and you just know that it is going to be an absolutely scorching hot day with just a tiny breeze and low humidity. The kind of day that makes me glad to be alive and want to sing out loud. There's something about those kind of mornings that just tastes of summer. I don't think we had any of those this year or the year before to be honest. It came close when we were camping at the end of July this year but I think I wasn't up early enough because you really need to be alone to get the full anticipatory high.
