Lord knows I'm no sports fan...

Certainly I've spent my whole life avoiding participation as much as is humanly possible but I do like to watch the odd game of tennis and the gymnastics and, of course, the diving. So you know a sports column wouldn't normally be my cup of tea but I tell you Giles Smith's column in the Times each day is a real treat. Every day it makes me laugh like a drain.
D is at grannies again so P and I treated ourselves to a meal out last night. If for whatever reason you find yourself in Wilde Green in need of food then do yourself a favour and go to Angelo's on the high st. Utterly sublime profiteroles, though last night I had the tricolour chocolate mousse which was also fantastic. I like sweety things especially but all the food is just the best.
So while there I was telling P about something Adrian Chiles supposedly said as reported in Giles Smith's column that day ("it's as much about what's between the ears as the legs") and P said he couldn't understand why that Irish wench from the One show would want to run off with AC. You know I can quite see what she sees in him (amiable, witty, apparently good natured) and I suppose I know what he sees in her (young and attractive) but I can't imagine he'll stay with her long because she is surely one of the most irritating people on the earth! Along with Natasha Kaplinski and that Katie whoever who looks a bit similar and is on breakfast telly.
