Who'd be famous?

vickyduckyI was just thinking what a very odd life Daniel Radcliffe must lead. He has apparently just bought a second flat in New York. This was on the Radio 2 news yesterday morning as I was driving to work and is even in the Times, although admittedly there it is in the sort of gossipy bit rather than the front page. The peg they are hanging it on is that this flat has a wine cellar but he is below the legal drinking age in NY. But just think how intrusive this is. To have your every move and even that you have bought a flat scrutinised and reported in national news. What struck me about this is that you don't hear this sort of level of stuff about most celebrities, you kind of have to be an uberceleb and as he seems at least to try and avoid being papped it just seems mad. Imagine if it happened to everyone. "Vickyducky has just bought an executive home with as many toilets as inhabitants." who cares about that, so why would anyone care about DR buying a flat, except to stalk him when he's there I suppose.
The mood thingy never has the word I want! I am bemused or exasperated neither of which is on offer!

novembersnow's lj of DR being kissed by the host of the theatre awards. I remember that when I saw the Equus opening night interviews I thought that it must be odd being famous because people think they can touch you without so much as a by your leave. And now kiss you obviously. It could have been a pre arranged stunt but DR doesn't really react and play along until quite a long way in which makes it appear as if he's taken by surprise. And if he is, if he hadn't agreed to this before hand, then it seems a bit off to me. How would you feel if a man you may or may not know just randomly snogs you? If this bloke had done this to Emma Watson (for example)would it be ok? Or would people be 'ooh the sleazebag'? I realise this was a joke even if not prearranged and I'm having a sense of humour failure over it and should just get over myself but I really hate having my personal space invaded. Perhaps I'm just envious because no one has randomly snogged me in about 20years! I've just realised that I am assuming he didn't want this bloke to kiss him, it might have made the evening for him. Or they may be in a relationship that is an open secret in the theatre community. Or I should get a life and stop thinking about it.
