Last night I watched a very old episode of The Simpsons in which they went to London and ran into J K Rowling (whose name Lisa mispronounced). Lisa asked her how the series ended (told you it was very old) and JKR replied “He grows up and marries you. Is that what you wanted to hear?”
My husband turned to me and asked if that was what I wanted to hear. Does he even know me? Of course not, I wanted (still want) Harry to grow up and marry Draco of course!

I would rather have seen Harry end up with Luna in canon. Ginny always seemed like a fangirl, whereas Luna saw "just Harry".

Yes, I agree, but I think for me that that is mostly based on the films, rather than the books. I re-read HBP and DH last year and didn’t find the Harry/Ginny as unpleasant as I remembered. I loathe it in the films though, particularly the shoelace tying, dress zipping scene.
