"So," Pansy said, sipping her tea, "you and Potter."

Draco nodded, warily.

Pansy slammed her cup into the saucer. "A girl doesn't like to be upstaged at her own engagement party," she snapped. "It was supposed to be the most spectacular event of the season! Unforgettable! Now, all anyone will remember about it, is you and Potter getting caught with your pants down!

Draco winced, Pansy was getting into her stride.

"Could the pair of you not have gone upstairs, at least? Fuck knows how many rooms that place has, and you couldn't find even one of them!"

She glared furiously at Draco, who did his best to look contrite. Pansy was his oldest friend and long experience had taught him that it didn't pay to upset her.

"Don't give me those puppy-dog eyes, Draco, I'm not falling for it again!" Pansy's lip twitched and she looked down at her teacup. A strangled laugh escaped her, then her shoulders began to shake and she started to laugh in earnest. "Oh, the looks on your faces when Millicent pulled back that curtain!" she gasped, wiping her eyes. "Who'd have thought Potter was a bottom!"
