Harry heard the front door bang and hurried into the living room. Draco was dumping numerous carrier bags onto the sofa.
"Did you get the mistletoe?" Harry asked anxiously.
"Yes," Draco replied wearily.
"And the brandy butter?"
"Yes."
"And the napkins?"
"And the dates with the camel on the box and every other last thing on the list except the marzipan fruits," Draco said, sounding exasperated.
"What?" squeaked Harry, "but they're Ginny's favourite! We've got to have some! She'll think we can't cope!"
"Calm down. It's not the end of the world."
Draco pushed some of the bags off of the sofa and sat down. Harry resisted but eventually Draco pulled him onto his lap.
"I just want it to be perfect," Harry sighed. "Our first Christmas all of us together. And I don't want her to be able to pick holes."
"She'll do that anyway, human nature being what it is. And it will be perfect. You and I will be together and our kids will all be here. How could it not be perfect? Even if you burn the dinner or the tree drops all its needles or the mistletoe is..." he stopped, unable to think what disaster could befall the mistletoe. Harry helped him out.
"Infested with nargles?" he said quietly.
"Infested with nar... what?"
"It doesn't matter." Harry kissed him fondly. Maybe Draco had a point.
