Mar. 20th, 2010 10:59 amIf you could choose to be born again as a citizen of any country in the world, which country would you choose, and why?
On Andrew Marr's 'A History of Modern Britain' he wrapped up the final episode saying that to have been born in Britain in modern times is still a huge stroke of luck; and in Sue Townsend's 'Adrian Mole the prostate years' he remarks that to live here, now, is to have won the lottery of life, and I can only agree with those opinions. It isn't perfect, by a very long chalk, and some of us have won the jackpot and some only the £10 prizes, but I wouldn't choose to be other than a British citizen, thank you.
