Well, I think in the end it was the right result. I know I said that I didn't mind which team won, once it couldn't be Ali, but I was pleased that Chris and Ola got it. And it was closer than I thought it would be. They were helped, of course, by being able to use their hugely enjoyable Charleston routine for their Latin number, but ultimately I think Ola judged the Show dance better. Last year I'm quite sure that it was the Show dance that won it for Tom and Camilla, and I think it was that that really tipped it this year as well. The song choice was absolutely inspired. It was familiar, it was fun and upbeat and the lyrics were so dead on. And the choreography was just right too. Fun, cheeky, but with some tricky looking lifts to give it some meat. They weren't perfect by any means - they fumbled for each others hands at least twice - but it was brilliant.

To be fair to Ricky Whittle, his show dance was very very accomplished, and that freehand lift must have been next to impossible, but it just didn't have the warmth of Chris and Ola's, which was a shame as technically he and Natalie were brilliant. Although I didn't think his feet were turned out properly for most of the Cha Cha Cha, even if Craig did!

Anyway, that's it for another year, and Project Catwalk has finished too, so I'll have to wait for Dancing on Ice to start after Christmas for my reality tv fix.
