Snow and stuff

So we have had quite a lot of snow (by English standards) today. Yesterday on my drive in to work the temperature thing on the dashboard said it was -6.5C. V.v. cold, especially as it was 12C only a week or so ago, though that was freakishly warm for the time of year. Today we were promised 6" of snow overnight but when I got up not a sign, but as I was leaving for work (6.30 am)it started and blizzarded all day. Brum much worse hit than here, very deep snow and as usual not a sign of a gritter or a snow plough. Only -2.5C today though.
